Oral Health Therapy

for Children with Disabilities

For many children with disability, sensory differences, or complex needs, oral hygiene is one of the hardest parts of daily life. Toothbrushing can trigger genuine distress. Resistance builds. Oral health gets worse. And families feel stuck.

We understand. And we know what helps.

Gentle, patient, and built around your child

Our oral hygiene therapy sessions are slow, careful, and led entirely by your child's comfort and readiness. We never rush. We never force. We use trauma-informed, sensory-sensitive techniques developed over years of working with children who find oral care genuinely difficult.

Progress looks different for every child. For some, the first session is just about getting comfortable in the room. For others, we're working on technique and independence from session one. We meet every child exactly where they are.

"Progress looks different for every child."

We meet every child exactly where they are.

WHAT SESSIONS LOOK LIKE

  • Personalised oral hygiene therapy sessions — at your child's pace

  • Behavioural desensitisation — gradual, positive exposure to toothbrushes, toothpaste, and oral care routines

  • Oral care assessments and care planning

  • Strategies and guidance for parents and carers to continue at home

  • Collaboration with occupational therapists, speech pathologists, and allied health teams

  • Support for schools and disability services to build oral care into daily routines

NDIS - Plan Managed and Self Managed

We work with plan-managed and self-managed NDIS participants. Our oral hygiene therapy sessions can be claimed through NDIS plans.

If you're plan-managed, we'll invoice your plan manager directly. If you're self-managed, we'll provide an invoice for you to claim reimbursement.

Not sure if oral health therapy is covered under your child's NDIS plan? We're happy to help you understand your options — just get in touch and we'll talk it through.

Note: We are not an NDIS-registered provider. We work with plan-managed and self-managed participants only. Agency-managed participants will need to contact us to discuss options

Referring a client

If you're an occupational therapist, speech pathologist, physiotherapist, or support coordinator with a client who struggles with oral hygiene, we'd love to collaborate. Oral health is a genuine quality-of-life issue for many NDIS participants, and the right support makes a significant difference.

Reach out to discuss a shared client or referral.

Ready to get started
or want to ask a
question first?

There's no obligation, and no question is too small. We're parents and clinicians — we know how overwhelming the NDIS system can feel, and we're here to make at least this part of it easier.
