Carol is an Oral Health Therapist with a rich background in the dental field. A University of Melbourne graduate (2008), she began in rural Victoria before moving to Brisbane in 2010.

Versed in diverse dental specialties and experiences, she has also taught and supervised at the University of Queensland (UQ) and CQUniversity. She holds a PhD from UQ and has been a board member of the Dental Hygienists Association of Australia for the past five years. She is also the Head of Course for Oral Health at CQUniversity.

With accolades like the NHM&RC scholarship and 13 years of diverse experience, she looks forward to working with you and caring for your oral health.

Leigh has been an oral health practitioner for over 30 years working across a variety of settings in both government and non-government organizations. Her experience has included a portfolio of human resource management, public health and health promotion, community engagement and research.
 

She has a history of interdisciplinary collaboration that has helped developed patient-centred models of care and service improvement for vulnerable populations across the age continuum. Her passion is to improve the oral health literacy and ensure equitable access and quality care for all. She believes everyone deserves the right care at the right time in the right place.

Leigh is currently pursuing her PhD investigating oral health promotion practice among vulnerable groups in Queensland.
